Woolfey I agree - the sad thing is you have people like michael moore peddling extremely appealing artistic propoganda disguised to youth as documentary and the rest of the media completely distorting the facts about guns. I'm not gun-toter but I've certainly come a long way from the flamethrowing judgement - spewing liberal I used to be. However I will say this - and i am open to God's correction on this point- I don't think I will ever have the need to turn a gun on someone even during the most tumultuous times of the tribulation.

If you go to the 22 chapter of Luke like the 35th verse ..you'll find a passage that is hated by the pacifist Christians out there ... You can read many commentaries on this ... and a lot of them start with "I am getting this out of the (pick your favorite Non old English translation) Real translations don't exist bla bla bla "and then this Worldly wise person will tell you that this entire section was metaphoric and means we should do something other than What it says...
I myself have a sword or two but its 2008 and I have upgraded ..
Our new Leader elect is getting ready to go forth and perform fellatio on the entire world in the name of the citizens of this entire country Especially Muslim Countries in order to make some sort of peace With the world and somehow enhance our nations' Standing .... Sort of like the weak guy in prison who has to do unsavory acts to remain in possession of his limbs... I don't expect this to have the published desired result ... but I do expect a return to Sept 11 with more savagery... I would think that everyone would want to be prepared to defend ones family even if they think that somehow becoming a name of on a memorial or just a forgotten gravestone or worm food in some forgotten hole would somehow better than being the cause of stopping an attack on a weaker person... As if their death would be worth more than defending by force against a sworn enema....
