So You Want To Be A Demon Hunter
Beware, this is not a light task. While it is true they are all under our authority in Jesus' name, they are still dangerous and ruthless. So the question is: Who can join the hunt?
First of all realize you are going to come under some pretty heavy attack. Your faith is going to be challenged, and the enemy will come against you with a mountain of doubt-based deceit. From lust to Atheism, he'll attack from all ends. Really, he's like a caged animal, and you're going to have be armed with more than a lion-tamer's chair.
Second, be open to reading things the religious will say to avoid, such as the Lost Book of Enoch. While it was omitted from our current bible by Constantine, it is the only account we have of both the angelic and demonic hierarchys. Only read books according to your faith level. If it will make you waver, AVOID IT.
My current library is made up of both secular and Christian titles dealing with all kinds of Dark Activity. Some of it is pretty scary to read.
Avoid books dealing with the summoning of spirits, spell casting, runes, voodoo.... Any book that teaches how to do any dark activity is to be avoided. If you are unsure, please, feel free to ask here. Knowledge is power, but this is tricky because many books are nothing more than pure evil waiting to ensnare you! Currently, I only own 1 secular title on Vampirism because it wonderfully illustrates the end resulting demonic possession COMPLETELY by accident.
Be in prayer! You may not be big on Tongues. However, I would highly suggest praying for this gift. It's a double barrel shotgun in the enemy's face when praying against evil, he can't retaliate because he doesn't know what's being said. This is powerful! And believe me, I speak from experience, the demonic flee when it is used.
